The *Flight Instructor Association (FIA)* is being established as a *national professional platform for Flight Instructors across India, bringing together instructors with a shared commitment to **safety, professionalism, knowledge, unity, and excellence in flight training

Flight Instructors are the foundation of every pilot’s journey.
Before a student pilot earns a licence, operates independently, or enters professional aviation, they learn the fundamentals of *flying, judgement, discipline, decision-making, airmanship, and safety* from a Flight Instructor.
FIA recognises this responsibility and seeks to build a stronger professional identity for the instructors who carry it.
FIA will provide a common platform for Flight Instructors to *connect, communicate, share experience, exchange knowledge, support professional development, and collectively contribute to the advancement of flight training in India.
To build a *strong, united, respected, and professionally empowered Flight Instructor community* that sets a benchmark for excellence in flight instruction and contributes to a safer and stronger Indian aviation industry.
FIA brings together Flight Instructors beyond individual organisations, flying schools, locations, and experience levels—because while our workplaces may be different, *our responsibility is the same: to train safe, competent, disciplined, and professional pilots.

Our aim is not only to represent Flight Instructors, but to *elevate the profession, encourage continuous learning, promote best practices, and create a culture where instructors grow together and the next generation of pilots benefits from their collective experience.*
We believe professionalism must work both ways
FIA recognises the importance of FTOs and their management in maintaining safe and efficient flight-training operations. At the same time, *Flight Instructors deserve fair treatment, professional dignity, transparency, and reasonable career mobility.*
